Allow the GIF picker in Google Chat

As an administrator, you can help your users find and add Tenor GIFs to Google Chat messages. You can do this by turning the GIF picker on for your organization, or turn it on for specific groups or departments.

Turn the Tenor GIF picker on or off in chat

1. Sign in to your Google Admin console.

   Sign in using an account with super administrator privileges (does not end in @gmail.com).

2. In the Admin console, go to Menu  AppsGoogle WorkspaceGoogle Chat.
3. Click GIFs.
4. To apply the setting to everyone, leave the top organizational unit selected. Otherwise, select a child organizational unit.
5. Under Allow users to browse and add GIFs using the Tenor GIF integration in Chat, select On or Off. 
   
   Note: If you turn the GIF picker off, users might still be able to include GIFs in their Chat messages by uploading GIF files or adding GIFs through apps.
    
6. Click Save.
