Moving forwards, we'll be changing the way in which we enforce image policies for advertising, selling and listing your products on Google. We'll be sunsetting account-level image enforcement in favour of item-level disapprovals.
Over the next few weeks, as part of a gradual rollout, any accounts that are currently under warning or pre-emptive item disapproval due to image promotional text will have these penalties automatically overturned, and item-level disapprovals will be applied to affected products instead.
We recommend opting in to automatic image improvements in Merchant Center, which will try to automatically fix non-compliant images by removing promotional overlays. If the removal is successful, the image will be replaced and the offer will be reapproved. Learn more about automatic image improvements
