This feature allows you to showcase the same-day delivery on your local products by adding badges and annotations to your products in free local listings and local inventory ads.

Before you begin
- Identify which products and shops in your local inventory feed support same-day delivery.
- Identify the cut-off times for the participating shops. You might need to set up a few same-day delivery services to accommodate multiple time zones. Time zones are based on the Merchant Center settings that you provide, not the user location.
- Determine your fees structure, including the delivery fee. We currently don't support additional fees, hence the best practice is to add up all the fees and pass it to Google as one delivery fee (Range-based delivery fee is supported).
- Define delivery distance per shop. If the delivery radius varies, you may either set up a separate same-day delivery service or choose a conservative radius.

[local_shipping_label]
attribute to add to these products. - Note: The attribute should be passed in the local inventory feed. It isn't supported in the primary local feed. Refer to the API guide for more information.

- You can select participating shops by either using the shop selector directly in Merchant Center or by adding the same-day delivery label to eligible products in your local product inventory feed via the local delivery label
[local_shipping_label]
attribute.
- You can select participating shops by either using the shop selector directly in Merchant Center or by adding the same-day delivery label to eligible products in your local product inventory feed via the local delivery label
- Create a same-day delivery label (if applicable).
- Create a same-day delivery label name. No spaces are allowed in the label name. For example, 'same_day_label_1' would be allowed as a label name.
- If only some of your products at an individual shop are available for same-day delivery, then you must use the same-day delivery label name that you created and add the label to your local product inventory by using the local delivery label
[local_shipping_label]
attribute. Once the same-day delivery label is applied, for each eligible product the same-day delivery label will be visible under the 'Delivery label' column in Merchant Center.
- Select a maximum delivery radius.
- This is based on each shop's location. You can set your shop's maximum delivery radius in miles or kilometres. A minimum of two miles or three kilometres is required.
- If some shops offer same-day delivery with a 5-mile radius and other shops offer same-day delivery with a 10-mile radius, you can create two separate same-day delivery services or use the shorter distance to cover all shops.
- Select an order cut-off time.
- This is the specific time or the number of hours before a shop closes in which a customer can place an order that will be eligible for same-day delivery. For example, if your shops close at 9.00 p.m. and customers must place an order before 5.00 p.m. to be eligible for same-day delivery, then the order cut-off time would be 5.00 p.m. or four hours.
- The closing time for each shop is based on data provided in your Google Business Profile. The cut-off time, if set with the number of hours, is based on each individual shop's closing time, so each shop with a different closing time would have a different order cut-off time. Otherwise, the cut-off time is based on the specific time that you manually set.
- You can also indicate if your same-day delivery items are available for next-day delivery when orders for these items are placed after the cut-off time.
- Provide a minimum order value required for orders to be eligible for same-day delivery. If there is no order minimum, leave this value as £0.00.
Delivery cost
- On the 'Delivery cost' page, select the delivery cost that you charge your customers for same-day delivery services. Options include:
- Free delivery over a certain amount
- Free delivery on all orders
- Range-based pricing based on the total value of the order
- Flat fee for all orders
- Click Save.
Verification
It is important to validate your delivery settings to ensure a positive customer experience. Google verifies same-day delivery services added by retailers, so make sure that the details match what's mentioned on your site. Same-day delivery must be advertised and mentioned on both your website and in the checkout flow.
It might take up to 72 hours for Google to review the settings. If there is an issue with the same-day delivery settings, the administrator of your Merchant Center account will receive an email with instructions on how to resolve the issue.
