Search for your chat messages in Gmail

You can search for and find your chat messages in Gmail.

Search in the bar at top and filter results by Chat or Email.
  1. On your computer, go to Gmail.
  2. At the top, in the search box, type what you’re looking for.
  3. Click Enter. 
  4. Under the search box, click Chat & spaces.
  5. Click the chat you want to open.
