With Gemini in Chat, when you have a space or conversation open, you can:- Summarize that space or conversation.
- Generate a list of action items from that space or conversation.
- Answer specific questions about that space or conversation.
You can use artificial intelligence to create documents, write text and other tasks:
- You can use the "Help me write" prompt in Docs to suggest text based on your prompts. For example:
- Draft a blog post.
- Write song lyrics.
- Rewrite existing text to be more detailed or concise.
- You can use the Gemini in Google Docs side panel to:
- Write and refine content in context.
- Summarize your files from Drive and emails from Gmail.
- Create images.
- Get creative ideas.
- You can use “Help me create” to create an entire structured document including tables, images, formatted headings etc. based on your prompts.
- To create an image or a cover image for your document with AI, you can use the Help me create an image option.
You can use artificial intelligence to write emails and other tasks:
- You can use the "Help me write" button in Gmail to draft emails based on your prompts. For example:
- Make a cover letter for a job.
- Create a birthday invitation to your friends.
- Write a more detailed and concise draft.
- You can get relevant responses to emails from Gemini in Gmail.

- Summarize an email thread.
- Suggest responses to an email thread.
- Find information from previous emails.
- Find information from your Google Drive files.

- You can use the Gemini in Google Slides side panel to:

- Generate new slides.
- Summarize a presentation.
- Write or rewrite content.

- You can use the "Help me organize" feature to draft a trip plan or task tracker. Learn how to create tables based on prompts.

You can use the Gemini in Google Drive side panel to:
- Summarize files.
- Pull information from files, such as numbers, time, people, instructions and examples.
- Ask open questions about a topic based on your files.
- Work with a variety of PDFs, including scanned PDFs or long and complex PDFs.
- Instantly summarize your PDF files.
- Ask specific questions and get answers about your PDF files.

With Google Vids, you can create video:
- Create a video using artificial intelligence by adding a prompt and related documents, use “Help me create.”
- Use templates to help you get started.
- Add text, images, and music to your videos.
- Access growing stock content library with videos, images, GIFs, sound effects and more..
- Record yourself, your voice, your screen, or any combination of these with the Vids recording studio.
- Comment and collaborate in real time like you do in Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
- Download your video as an MP4 or share a link.
You can use artificial intelligence to create forms.

If you have trouble accessing Workspace Labs features, try the solutions below:
- Check that your language is set to English. Learn how to change the language for your Google Account.
- Check if Workspace Labs is available in your country. Learn more about where Workspace Labs is available.
- If you previously opted out of Workspace Labs, you cannot access Workspace Labs features. Learn more about exiting Workspace Labs.
- Check how you’re accessing Google Workspace. Workspace Labs is not available if you are on a school account.
- Workspace Labs is not available if you are not 18 years or older.
Turn off Workspace Labs features
Important: To turn off any of the features on Google Workspace Labs you must exit Workspace Labs. If you exit, you will permanently lose access to all Workspace Labs features, and you won’t be able to rejoin Workspace Labs. To permanently exit Workspace Labs, go to Google Docs, Google Slides, Sheets, Gmail, or Meet.
How to exit from Google Docs, Slides & Sheets- On your computer, open a file on Google Docs, Slides, or Sheets.
- At the top, go to Tools Opt out of Labs .
- Click Confirm.
- On your computer, go to Gmail.
- At the top, click Settings .
- In the Labs program notification, click Opt out.
- Click Opt out and reload.
To opt out of Workspace Labs:
- On your computer, go to Meet.
- At the top right, click Settings .
- On the left, click Workspace Labs Opt out.
