Maps for mobile

Never want to forget that awesome bar you’re currently at? Google Maps for mobile makes it easy to save locations. Want to tell people where the bar is? Google maps can do that too. You can also view any of these saved or shared places from your profile, making it easier for you to quickly access the places that are important to you.

To save a location on the map:

1. Make sure you are signed into Google Maps for iOS.
2. Select a specific location using one of the following methods:
   • Press and hold any point on the map.
   • Look up a business or address in the search bar.
3. Open the place details by pulling up or tapping the bottom info sheet.
4. Click the Save button, represented with a star . The star will turn gold when saved. All of your saved places will be shown on the map with this gold star.

To share a location on the map:

1. Search for a location or press and hold any point on the map.
2. Open the place details by pulling up or tapping the bottom info sheet.
3. Click the Share button . Select to either share your location via email, text message, or by copying the location information to your clipboard.

To view your Recently Saved and Shared places:

1. Make sure you are signed into Google Maps for iOS.
2. Tap the My profile  button.
3. See a list of your saved and shared places in the “Recently Saved and Shared” section.
4. Select a location in this list to see it on the map.
