Free trial and billing setup

Upgrade to Google Apps for Business

Google Apps for Business is an enterprise package of workplace applications. You can try Google Apps for Business for free for 30 days for up to 10 users. The 30-day free trial period starts from the time that you sign up or upgrade to Google Apps for Business. It's not possible to select Google Apps for Business for a subset of users at your domain, while keeping others on Google Apps.

Google Apps for Business costs are charged per user. For details on billing, please see Billing Systems Overview.

You can choose to set up billing for Google Apps for Business at any time; doing so will not end your trial. The trial period lasts for 30 days or until you add more than 10 users, whichever comes first. We recommend that you enter your billing information well before the end of your trial period in order to avoid any disruption in service. Direct debit or bank account transfer may take longer to setup than other payment methods. Please see Available forms of payment for more information.

If you upgrade to Google Apps for Business, you have the option to downgrade to the free edition while you are in the 30-day trial. Once the paid subscription starts, the option to downgrade to the free edition is no longer available.

Instructions to upgrade:

  1. Sign in to the Google Admin console.
  2. Do one of the following:
  3. Click Upgrade to Google Apps for Business.
After upgrading to Google Apps for Business, it may take up to 72 hours for the users in your domain to receive the 30 GB of storage that comes with the subscription for Google Drive, Gmail, and Picasa Web Albums. For new users, the 72-hour period begins when the user first signs in to his or her Gmail account.
