Build a multiview
To create a multiview in the YouTube TV app on your smart TV or streaming device:
How to add a multiview
- While you’re watching eligible multiview content press down.
- Select multiview
.
- At the bottom select the content you want to add.
- Choose from any of the content available in the multiview builder.
How to set active audio
You can easily switch between audio sources and captions while viewing multiple live programs. With your remote, select the view you want to hear.
The active audio icon will indicate which view is providing the current audio.
How to expand full screen
At any point while viewing a multiview stream, you can make one channel full screen.
To switch to full screen on a smart TV:
- Select the view with active audio.
- Press the Select button on your remote to go to full screen.
To return to the multiview: press the Back button on your remote.
How to exit multiview
To exit multiview:
- Press down on your remote.
- At the bottom, select the Networks tab and select the network you want to switch to.
You can also exit multiview by pressing the Back button.

Featured multiviews
In addition to customizing your own multiviews, personalized recommended combinations will sometimes appear in the “Top Picks for You” and “Watch in multiview” sections of your YouTube TV “Home” page.
Manage watch history for multiview
You can find videos you’ve watched using multiview in your YouTube TV watch history. You can individually manage or delete each video you’ve viewed. To delete an entire multiview session, erase all videos from the multiview session.

Multiview restrictions
- You can’t watch in multiview from your web browser, or via airplay.
- While in multiview, other views are not available, but you can use another device to view stats, key plays & fantasy football.
