How can I delete duplicate songs from my playlist. I have 760 songs most are duplicates 0 Recommended Answers 8 Replies 13 Upvotes
How do I remove duplicates songs in a playlist. This should be easy to do but I cannot see it anywhere.

Hello,
YouTube Music does not have a tool for removing duplicates from a playlist, but it does warn you when you're adding songs to a playlist.
In this case you'll have to remove the duplicates manually. Sorry about that!

I did not get any notification of duplicates being added when I added one playlist to another. Removing duplicates seems to be a no brainer. Doesn't google run users tests on their products to see how user friendly their interfaces are? From what I can see from the forums lots of complaints about the user interface for you tube music. Anyways will ask for removing duplicates and oh yes how about being able to
easily delete multiple songs from a playlist by album or by selecting a number of them. Oh right we need to tell google that.
Does google employees ever use their products?

Hi,
Remove duplicates was a feature under "Advanced Settings", in the playlist, but has been removed.
The way to do it now is to sort by "Date Published", and then remove the duplicate manually.
Good luck.
Youtube should have the most advanced player with ALL the features, but they dont.
This is what happens when there is absolutely no competition...

This is extremely inconvenient. The program neither notifies you of a duplicate nor allows you to ID and remove them. Please address this!

Really!!! Its not as if Google did not have enough time to get this right. Very poor on their part. Maybe it's time to move to some other music app

After being forced to move from Google Music, which while far from ideal, had tools to manage PC sync and duplicates, this is very aggravating. It is clear the only reason Google is making this switch is to allow showing ads between songs to make ad revenue.
Any suggestions of a music platform that actually cares about its user experience?

Time to remove youtube from my service usage. Go to Pandora and just use them. Google/Youtube is just foolish for removing dups feature
