I want to transfer all of my downloaded music from the play app to the new youtube music app so I can listen offline. I don't have to manually go through and download everything again, do I? How am I supposed to listen to podcasts? Do I need a seperate app for that now? This is a nightmare. My screen is clogged with random playlists created by youtube. Give me back the easy to navigate Playlists/Stations/Artists/Albums/Songs/Genres that only show the music I want to listen to, not some themed playlists or "throwback jams". It's unusable now. My "liked songs" playlist is gone. I keep gettings this annoying "hey google, like this song" which I already clicked once already.  I click "not now" and it pops up again after swiping through a few songs. You took something amazing and destroyed it so it's more like "spotify". If I wanted spotify I would download it. I want MY music and podcasts offline without irritating notifications and random mixes.

I have the same issue.  I want to download my library, that I paid for to my phone so I can listen offline.  Google Play was far better.

I have the same issue.  All my music I listened to off line is now not available.  Whats going on. I paid for all these songs and now I have to pay for a premium account that has to be updated every month to listen to them.  This is rubbish.  The previous app was great and easy to use. This is a nightmare.  You tube music app is crap.

Agreed. This is very frustrating and its a great reason to cancel my subscription and switch to a different music service. I can't download my entire library, and I can't even mass add my library to a playlist, to download that. This is so frustrating

Just adding another person who missed the download boat apparently. Can Google let me get my 15 year library and go. Just re-enable music manager for download only!

Use Google Takeout and select Google Play Music to download your entire library. I downloaded my 23,000+ track library (140GB) and migrated to a different, better service all together.

How do I use Google Takeout to transfer my downloads Andrew?  This really is a pain considering most ISP's have data limits nowadays!

@Anthony Aguilar
Click my link to Google Takeout, next, select deselect all and then scroll down to Google Play Music and recheck the check box.
Scroll to the bottom, tap "next".
The next step will allow you to determine the way the export is delivered to you; where you'll be sent to get access to your data & the size and type of compressed files you want. It does allow you to select email, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive and Box. It does NOT allow you to chose how much or what parts of your library you want. It is a full library download only.
You'll be alerted when the downloads are ready (the system has to compress your library for download) and will be available for a week to download.
Note that individual compressed files will provide you seeming random tracks from your library but the entire takeout will contain all your library.

Sounds like you're in the US or someplace similar, I feel sorry for you. As far as I'm aware all contracts for broadband here in the UK don't have data limits and most don't in Europe. For instance, 2 months ago, my household used 3.6Tb of data (multiples of MSFS2020 + more & cloud backups) and last month we used another 2.4Tb of data.

Thank you Andrew P from the UK I did exactly as you said and got all my google music downloaded to computer.  some playlist didn't cover over with tracks but the songs that were in the playlist did.

I do find it very frustrating that you can't view what you have on google music to a least make sure have it all.

Am very disappointed in this change as Google Music was easy to use and only paid for when you bought (downloaded) music.
