Using YouTube app 1.0 build 70500258 on Roku Stick 3899X 8.1.0, music videos play fine and uninterrupted.  Playing music from my playlists or casting from iOS, the music buffers, occasionally the app goes blank and comes back to play for a few seconds, then buffers some more. Again, videos are fine as are the other Roku video and music apps. I’ve reset the device and reinstalled the YouTube app. Only Music is affected

Please update your application. For version 2.41.54 and verify that the problem continues.

Thank you, Higor.  I'm not sure how to do that.  I deleted the app from Roku, then rebooted the device.  At that point I reinstalled the app from the Roku menu and it served up the version I described above.  Is there a way to specify or check their library for the right version?

On my phone I am using the latest from the iTunes store, 2.41.  It exhibits this problem, but I think more importantly the Roku app displays this behavior with or without the iOS app involved.

Ok.  I sent a note via the send feedback mechanism.  Maybe somebody will contact me from there.  That said, there is no Android device in this scenario.  The app is referring to the one executing on the Roku.  To the best of my knowledge, it is not an Android device, although I will stipulate that it may be running Android or some version of Linux as it's OS.  I just don't know :->

I've tried again a day from when I noticed this issue, with the same results.  YouTube videos play well, when I select a YouTube Music playlist, it buffers, stalls, blanks out and just really doesn't work.

Thanks for trying to help me.

This is been happening for months whenever I try to play music not containing video on my Roku. My thoughts are it's a ploy by Google to get you to subscribe to their YouTube music service. I've searched for answers about this several times and there's nothing in all of Google's results that addresses the issue.

My TV and Roku are fine in other apps but will not appear as cast targets in YouTube Music. If I use Samsung's Smart View it appears and works but audio skips a lot... I have a very strong background in networking and I assure you it is not a local throughput issue. What's up?
