Google Home can't play YouTube Premium ("needs video device") 1 Recommended Answer 14 Replies 63 Upvotes

I subscribed to YouTube Premium the day it got available in Germany, but unfortunately, I have a problem when it comes to asking any of my Assistant enabled devices (e.g. Google Home) to play music via the YT Music. The app is selected in the Music sections of the Google Home app (screenshot 1), but when I ask it to play something, it'll tell me that it needs a video enabled device for that (screenshot 2). When I change the default music service back to Play Music, there is no such problem. Anybody experienced a similar problem and knows how to make it work, or is it just a bug for now? It worked as intended for a while, but since a week, this problem occurs. Thanks in advance for any help provided
