Share music & podcasts

You can share music and podcasts you love from YouTube Music to other social networks and platforms, or with friends by copying and pasting a link. When they click the link, the song or podcast will open in YouTube Music.

How to share music and podcasts in the YouTube Music app

Share music or podcasts from YouTube Music

To share music or podcasts:

1. Open the YouTube Music app using your mobile device, or go to music.youtube.com on a computer.
2. Tap on the song, album, playlist, or podcast you want to share.
3. Select the 3-dot menu  to open the menu options.
4. Select Share .

You’ll see a panel with different sharing options. Select the icon for the platform where you want to share the song, album, playlist, or podcast. You can also Copy the link and paste somewhere else, like an email or text message. When someone clicks the link, YouTube Music will open, and the content you shared will start playing.

Share a Sample

Browse the Samples tab to find an endless, personalized stream of short music video segments - from new releases to old favorites.

If you find a Sample you like, you can share it with your friends using a link or post it to social media.

To share a Sample:

1. Go to the Samples tab in the YouTube Music app.
2. Find the sample you want to share.
3. Tap Share on the right side of the screen.

Select the icon for the platform where you want to share the sample. You can also select Copy to copy the sample link you can paste somewhere else, like an email or text message.
