While some ads can't be skipped, you can change the type of ads you see by editing your Google Ad Settings. You can also view, delete, or pause your YouTube watch history.
The ads you see while watching YouTube videos are tailored to your interests and based on your Google Ad Settings, the videos you’ve viewed, and whether you're signed in or not. This is why adjusting the settings and history above can make a difference.
Also note that the ads you see on YouTube will vary. This depends a lot on advertisers and creators. Why? Advertisers choose the ad format, as well as where they want their ads to serve during their campaign set-up. For example, an advertiser can choose a skippable ad for “fashion and beauty” content. Creators can also select the types of ad formats they want for their videos, as well as block certain ads from appearing on their videos.
