Large Education Channel Somehow Terminated (no warning, no strikes), Can't Get Any Reply on Appeal 0 Recommended Answers 2 Replies 12 Upvotes
Hello, and thanks for any help in advance. For the past 6 years we've been running a business education & investing channel. It's not a huge channel, but it's pretty large -- we built up over 2-million views on our 200+ videos...
Here's the Channel URL -- https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLihM2pKzsuimSfMmlDB5EQ

On 7/27 we published a new video advising young people to maximize their retirement accounts and raise their credit scores. About hours after publishing, we received this email --

We had never received a community strike or copyright strike before this video, and we're 100% sure that nothing in the video we posted "encourages illegal activity". We talk about things like whether a Roth IRA or Traditional IRA is right for you, how to select the best credit card for your situation -- definitely nothing illegal...
We assumed we would just need to appeal this to get the video re-activated. But exactly 15-minutes after we received the first email, we got this one --

So our entire YouTube account was terminated instantly. We received no warning other than the emails shown above...
I immediately filed a lengthy appeal, and tried to explain that whatever the algorithm had picked up is a mistake. I also sent an email to Creator Support (while I still had access), and tweeted @TeamYouTube...
This all happened on 7/27 -- and today is 8/4. We've now been waiting over a week, and still have not had any reply to our appeal...
However, I did get to watch many cryptocurrency channels (including Altcoin Daily) get terminated for the exact same reason. These channels were all terminated 4-days AFTER mine -- yet all these channels came back online yesterday...
So how did these channels get preferential treatment in the appeals process? How do we get somebody to reply to our appeal? We've got full-time staff hired to make videos for YOUR platform, and have been patiently waiting over a week to see if they've still got jobs...
