Here’s a roundup of product improvements and bug fixes from the previous month! Reminder: these are just desktop updates from the team responsible for the youtube.com desktop experience (though they don’t work on everything on desktop – for example, other teams are responsible for YouTube Studio, Monetization features, etc.)

Improvements:
  • Add multiple videos to your playlists:  We heard your feedback and added a highly requested feature that lets you copy all videos from a playlist or queue to your own playlists. You can do this one of 3 ways: 

    • Add all videos from your playlist to another playlist
      • From your computer, select one of your playlists from the guide 
      • Click on the three dot icon below your Playlist name 
      • Click “Add all to” option
      • Select the playlist you want to add these videos to

    • Add all videos from another playlist (not owned by you) to your playlist
      • From your computer, select one of your playlists from the guide 
      • Click on the three dot icon below your Playlist name 
      • Click “Add video” option
      • Search for the playlist you want to add to yours from the URL tab 

    • Save your queue as a playlist
      • Add multiple videos to your queue
      • Click the “Save to” icon in the mini player in the bottom right 
      • Select a playlist you want to add these videos to

  • Easily access new destination pages on desktop: The new ‘Explore’ tab on mobile came with newly added destination pages for popular categories – namely Fashion & Beauty (previously known as Fashion only) and Learning. You can now access these new destinations from the left navigation guide when browsing YouTube on desktop as well.

  • Date formats for upcoming live streams: We’ve made improvements for date formats to automatically follow the local formatting convention based on the country the creator is streaming in. For e.g. If you are streaming a video from France, the date stamp will automatically read in the French format to all your viewers i.e. DD/MM/YY. Previously this would show up in the US Format i.e. MM/DD/YY which was confusing to most viewers.

Smaller fixes:
  • Signed out users were unable to toggle dark theme off – so we fixed that!
  • For some of you who had the feature enabled, push notifications and notification counts were not updating for new activity – we fixed that too!
  • We also reordered items in the playlist three dot menu so that it's more intuitive to use. For instance, the “Delete” option has now been moved to the bottom so that it’s easier for you to find.
  • We noticed issues with the left hand guide where it would sometimes overlap with content on the home page or didn’t move to the right hand side for right to left languages like Hebrew and Arabic – so we fixed both!

Hi, there's a fairly common issue that's recently appeared for lots of users and there have been quite a few threads popping up about it (here's one) but there's not been any proper resolution to the issue or anything from anyone who actually works for/on the youtube platform. Is this something that's been picked up on or at least noticed?

Obviously I've got a vested interest in this being resolved as it affects me, but would be nice for it to be noted as an issue.

My YouTube channel I cannot search for her name in the search engine and it has been a long time for an entire day and I have used the most common things and the channel has not returned in the search engine. Please help me soon. Thank you.
