How do I contact YouTube support about an ongoing harassment issue? 0 Recommended Answers 6 Replies 8 Upvotes

I would like to contact YouTube via email and engage in a conversation about constant harassment I (and others) get on our YouTube channels.
Yes, I know there is a reporting function on our channel, but the first and only time I ever used that, they not only removed the account of the cyberbully, but they disabled my account as well. You can imagine the panic that set in when that happened after running a channel here without an issue for 9 years.
The bullying that is occurring is from a person or people who have some sort of vendetta out against a small community of creators covering our genre. I'm sure this happens with other niche categories, but quite frankly, I am sick of it and something needs to be done.
These people are impersonating our niche creators and in my case, personal family members. At the moment, I am simply muting them on my channel, but then they go to other channels and bully them until the accounts are blocked everywhere. It's just a constant battle keeping these idiots at bay. As soon as we mute one, they create another and start it all over again.
When we do try an report them, the amount of details we need to provide is counterproductive given that they simply go and create an email address and a fake name and start the process again. I keep 90% of the derogative statements off my channel using the blocked words list (which grows weekly) but given the ease, with which anyone can create an account, it seems a futile effort.
I also understand the overall size of youtube and that they simply don't have the resources available to manage every small channel discussion, but something needs to be done. Accounts that are allowed to comment and interact as an audience needs to have some value and authentication process so that they have something to lose if they harass people and get reported. Surely YouTube realises this but it seems to us that their derogatory interaction on our channels has the same analytical value as legitimate audience engagement.
I simply want to open dialogue with someone on YouTube and engage in meaningful discussion about the issue and see if there is an easier or better way to deal with this menace.
