Why does YouTube keep removing our live streams?
0
Due to the Corona virus situation, our church decided to go live stream for our Sunday service.
We were testing the live stream when YouTube killed our live stream twice for "Violation against YouTube guideline and terms."
Like I said, we were testing, meaning we didn't even sing any songs. We literally started our stream when within minutes YouTube took it down twice.
Now I am afraid to try again and get taken down for the third time and possibly get the account banned.
Please help. Why is this happening?

This happened to us, too. I wonder if, like Facebook, YouTube’s computers have taken over monitoring because staff are working remotely? I know Facebook admitted a problem with overly aggressive deletion of content.

I tested our church’s stream three times, two of the streams were stopped for community violation, one rehearsal went all the way through our PowerPoint with no problem.  I dug through the email automatically sent by YouTube, and it did mention things are different right now, and that these “violations” did not cause “strikes” against our account.

Google, what’s up? Please fix, churches need to live stream for our home bound members!!

Same, in the middle of a live service this morning for a couple of hundred people. Beginning to think we should all use Zoom.

Same is happening to our pipe band practising! You would think in these days of self isolation, they would welcome any form of joy or music (non copyright) in otherwise dark times!

When livestreaming your are broadcasting and so you need a broadcast license, the most comment license used by churches does not give you that.
