"you cannot embed live streams"

I need to embed a live stream, but Creator Studio Classic states "you cannot embed live streams." I have linked an AdSense account. I manage other channels as well, and this was previously all I needed to do to enable live stream embedding. What other steps need to happen to enable embedding now?

Hi Tim Gales: if the Features tab of your YouTube channel says that you need to link an AdSense account to embed live streams, that is what you need to do.

To link AdSense to your channel, it has to be eligible for the YouTube Partner Program. That is at least 1000 subscribers and at least 4000 hours watch time in the past year.

Older channels were able to enable live stream embedding without linking AdSense, but that changed a while back.

Voyce Atlas is exactly right.

Simply load your Encoder with the RTMP from your Restream.io account...  livestream to your WEBSITE, Facebook page,  Periscope, InstaGram, .... and even your YouTube page.   Restream.IO provides a widget that you embed on your website.

You don't need to continually be discriminated against  and harrassed  by YouTube with their 1000 subscribers, 4000 View Hours, AND an active AdSense account for new accounts. (which is nearly impossible to get activated now unless you follow THE YOUTUBE RULES.)

More and more audiences are migrating away from the corrupt YouTube.  Hit all the platforms you need to be on to expand your audience!

No more YouTube censorship!  Thank you Restream.IO

When I try to embed a scheduled video in the new studio, I go to advanced and select embed and click save.  It respond that something went wrong and it will try again, but it never succeeds.  I can only change it after the video has completed which doesn't help us when we are trying to put the link out on our web page as an embedded item before hand so our parishioners/users can open the link before the stream starts.
George Westlund: is the video a livestream? And do you have livestream embedding enabled for your channel?  You can check here: https://www.youtube.com/features?nv=1

Google Ads let you, the advertiser, pay for your ads to appear on other people's websites or YouTube channels.  You pay Google.

AdSense, lets you, the publisher, monetize your content by running ads. Most of those ads are paid for by advertisers who placed ads via Google Ads.  Google pays you.

So, what is required is that AdSense be linked to your YouTube channel.

Currently the only way you can connect an AdSense account is when your channel becomes eligible for the YouTube Partner Program. That requires at least 1000 subscribers, and at least 4000 hours watch time in the previous year.

You can check your channel's monetization status at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC-OqjFf-9hkaa1OjGzm_OZQ

We are a non-profit church, we do not advertise nor do we want advertisements on our videos.  These live streams are church services during the pandemic.   We just want our users to be able to click on the video frame on our web site before the video starts.
George: I totally understand that. Unfortunately YouTube doesn't offer any other option for live stream embedding.

If it's having something clickable, maybe you could use a static image on your site that opens YouTube when clicked.

Hi all, I might have a workaround. I have the same issue with "embedding" being eligible but not enabled. If you start your live stream to YT as an unlisted video, then go to the channel page you are streaming to, you have the option to embed the video!

i.e. you cannot PRE generate the embed code. But if you start your stream 20 minutes early with a holding slide, then generate the embed code from the live video on the channel page, then embed the video, problem appears to be solved for me.

Are you sure that you are logged out? If you are still logging in your Google's account, you can see the embed live streem in your website but other people do not.

Hi Guys,
We are helping educationists / temples to create their content and share the same with their students and devotees, the people are not very technology friendly we have to help them with everything, when we go live and embed something we are able to do from our account when teachers try to embed live video from their account they are not able to do the same, need help on the same  ASAP. They will not be able to reach the limit of 1000 subscribers and 4000 hours. How to enable embedding or any workaround.

Probably there is no any workaround. I know that not everyone experience the issue with live stream embeding. No idea what is YT politic in this matter. No support from them as well.
