Youtube Premium says I have 1 free Channel Membership (worth 5€) but doesn't work

SO when I logged in on Youtube a small window said I have a free channel membership I can join (worth $5) but when I choose one of my subscriptions it still wants me to pay. So what was this? A lie, bug or will it not charge me when i click Pay and enter my digits for my card?

(Update: TeamYoutube said they are investigating and will update with more information when they have some. I take it as this was an error) :(

On the channel it originally popped on for me I saw a free join button but didn't push it. So I went to a few other channels and don't see and no longer see it on the first channel either. Very odd.

Yep same here. Tried to get back into the same page couldn't. Then tried to see if i could subscribe to one of the channels listed and asked to me to pay with cc

here in Germany, I have the same problem. I already spoke to the support staff. They said they will pass it on.

Go the exact same issue here in Australia. I went through the process and it does charge your card.

Same issue in Norway. Also tried to find contact information to Google, but they have tried to hide that as well as they can obviously. One should think you should be able to contact your supplier of a paid service.

I'm having this same problem here in Canada. I was given one free channel membership and they still  charged me for it. I tried tweeting at TeamYoutube but told me to go to support. When I did, the directions were telling me to go to Help and Feedback on my mobile. I go there and find them selection for channel memberships and such and how to contact support...and it asks me to go to Help and feedback again. A constant loop of getting nowhere.

YouTube, you need to fix this, pronto! Not later, now! You're stealing your creator's money for free services, which there are none!

Same for me in Canada. I received the offer, completed the subscription and it billed my credit card for 5 bucks. Wtf?
