As part of our ongoing effort to help Creators get more done in YouTube Studio, we’re making it a little easier for creators with teams to share access to their YouTube Channel introducing Channel Permissions!
What is Channel Permissions?
Channel Permissions is a new and easy way for you to grant other people access to your channel data, tools, and features in YouTube Studio, with four different levels of access. They are:
Manager: can add and remove others, and edit everything. But can’t delete the channel.
Editor: can edit everything. Can’t add and remove others or delete the channel.
Viewer: can see everything. Can’t edit anything.
Viewer (limited): can see everything except revenue data. Can’t edit anything.
Where can I find Channel Permissions?
You can find this new feature in YouTube Studio > Settings > Permissions and more detailed instructions and more detailed instructions on how to add or remove access to your YouTube channel in this Help Center article.
Granting access to your channel using channel permissions does not give access to your Google Account, and you can remove their channel access at any time. Please note: the email address you invite needs to be associated with a Google account!
I have a Brand Account - can I use Channel Permissions?
Channel Permissions is currently only available on YouTube Studio for channel that are not associated with a Brand Account. We plan to expand to Brand Accounts in the future, as well as introduce new permission types (eg. editor without revenue access). Stay tuned for these updates and more and let us know what you think in the comments below!

To enable it, go to YouTube Studio > Settings > Permissions. From there, you will be able to import users from your Brand Account and send invites for the different levels of access. Learn more here.
