We’re excited to announce Profile cards – a new way to learn more about people commenting on the videos you’re watching. We hope this feature helps you explore comments, build connections with others, and contribute to a more welcoming YouTube overall.
How it works: Simply tap on the profile picture of someone commenting to pull up their Profile card, which consolidates public info such as subscriptions and recent comments, all in one place! All information displayed on Profile cards is already public on YouTube, and only comments posted on the channel you’re watching will show up.

Update the public info that shows on your Profile card: You can visit your Settings at any time to change what public info is displayed – we’ve included some quick links to related settings below:
- Your name
- Your profile photo
- Your Subscriptions
Availability: This feature is rolling out to everyone on the YouTube Android app over the next few days with plans to launch on other devices in the future.
Tell us what you think: Let us know what you think about Profile cards by sending us your feedback via the official Send Feedback tool. This goes directly to the team that works on the feature and helps us prioritize requests!
It’s important that you feel protected on YouTube. If you feel that you’ve been targeted for abuse by a commenter, you can report abuse via our Reporting Tool.
