Unexplained 0 Views in Real Time Analytics

For the last 1 week, I have been noticing some of my videos in the ‘real time’ analytics with ‘0’ views alongside them. Specifically, when I review the 48-hour/60-minute real-time analytics, a few of my videos are consistently shown with no views.

I never had this issue before. I'm curious about why YT would present videos with zero views in the real-time analytics. It was mentioned to me by other creators that when people watch our videos using incognito mode, YT is not counting the views - however YT claims that they do count these views. Hopefully this issue can be fixed urgently as I am losing A LOT of views.

Hello,

Thanks for bringing this to our notice. However, this may be a temporary glitch and will not affect the overall performance and analytics of your channel. Views are always counted, but sometimes they are not reflected in real-time analytics.

Please continue creating amazing content as views and watch time keeps changing.

I have been experiencing the same issue in one of my recently uploaded videos. I have been tracking closely on the daily views and I do see a glitch that the number of views doesn’t seem being accumulated, and indeed the number would drop to zero for unknown reasons

Is anyone the problem resolved? Even i upload movies on my youtube channel, the views have dropped from thousands to single digit which is confusing and frustrating.

Despite adding my content monthly as normal and a continuous upward climb of views and subscribers, my chanel views have been dramatically falling and and revenue, with nothing really changed in my content. I'm also been unable to access realtime data for at least three days now. There is a message that says that they're having an issue with my stats and I hope that when fixed they will compensate me by boosting my content on there home page, to make up my lost revenue! I notice that Google are hiding this issue when you search online.

At the start my 3 shorts got views but after that, I uploaded 16 videos and constantly got 0 views. I am unable to understand the issue. Here is my youtube channel @lofiquranlounge

I was told this happens when someone views a video incognito. This hurts revenue for all YouTube creatures.

It is true this 0s glitch from incognito mode is potentially a loss in revenue from those monetized, which is why there needs to be some explanation or closure or action done on YouTubes part. Over 4 months is way too long for it to be going on.

Basically if the 0s are none views then they shouldn't show up at all from the click. But the 0s are indeed clicks because they always show a traffic source.

YouTube needs to show action and transparency to elevate trust and confidence in its creators.

They really need the techs on the algorithms to fix problems when 1 is raised. If anything the monetary gains they might think it gives them in the short term hobbles their traffic in the long term. A supreme lack of foresight is what I'm seeing here.

I am having the same issue. My channel is a couple of months old and I first noticed the issue about a month ago. Via real time analytics, I see a lot of zeros all of the time. I have been investigating and I think I found 2 possible causes. The area that I found is from Pinterest, but it may be from other places too.
1- The issue is happening when people play my videos from Pinterest either by playing it or by visiting the link. If someone click on the video and play it, it does not count as a view. If someone click on the "visit", it does not count as a view either. I confirmed that with my counts before I tested it with someone helping me via Pinterest.

This finding is VERY BAD:

2- Someone is posting my videos via Pinterest with that person's name (profile) and not using my name or giving me credit. When the video plays, I see it coming as 0 (see attached image), but it never materializes to a count. Why am I not getting the counts?

I also noticed a drastic decline in views. My channel focuses on music, my own originals and cover songs. I uploaded some original music and covers of Pink Floyd's songs 3.5 weeks ago and got 8k views in a month. I've been updating songs as i tweak them and had hundreds of hits but starting Tuesday night i noticed a sharp drop in views. Went from 450 on Monday to 42 yesterday.. scratching my head... i know according to the "when your users are on" feature there are lulls in the action but i should be having some traffic.. same content and remixed versions of first posts and have positive comments on them...hate to think it's just me and i suck.. lol
