Audience interests in YouTube Analytics
To help you better understand your audience and identify popular topics and formats, we introduced a new feature in YouTube Analytics that shows you what other videos your audience is watching outside your channel over the past 7 days. Video blur tool improvements
If you need to blur out parts of your video, the blur tool is a great way to do this without taking down your video or needing to re-upload it. We’ve made some great improvements to the video blur editor in YouTube Studio, including a new look and modern design so it’s simpler to find and easier to use, additional size, shape and position controls for more flexibility and precision for your blurs and quick-access from the video details page and full screen editor so you don’t have to open a new tab.

New Captions Editor on YouTube Studio
To make it easier and faster to edit captions, we are introducing a new captions editor on YouTube Studio. This change brings:
- A new pop-up window with a fresh design, so you don’t need to open a new browser tab.
- Faster captions with parallel auto-sync processing, meaning you no longer have to wait before we assign timing to the captions you have provided or entered.
- Caption timings alongside the audio stream, so you can better see where to place your captions. We have also added a slider to allow you to zoom into the timeline for a deeper look and keyboard shortcuts, so you can do your most common tasks faster.

Copyright Tab now available for all Studio users
We're expanding access to the Copyright tab to all YouTube Studio users. Here you’ll be able to keep track of your previously-submitted copyright takedown requests and quickly access the copyright complaint webform to report any videos that use your copyright-protected work without your permission. You can find the Copyright tab on the left-hand side of the Studio interface. recommended this

New and improved way to manually place ad breaks in your video:
You can now manually insert ad breaks (sometimes called “mid-roll ads”) during the upload flow. Once your standard definition (SD) processing is finished, you’ll see the option to Place Manually in the Monetization section of the upload flow. You can also now insert ad breaks directly from the monetization tab on the video details page. Instructions here. Google Employee

New “Restrictions” column:
The new “Restrictions” column (found on the Videos page in YouTube Studio) lets you know if anything is preventing your audience from watching your video. For example, Copyright Strikes or age-restrictions. If you’re a monetizing creator, it also tells you if anything is impacting your video’s monetization.

Copyright (Content ID) tools in YouTube Studio
We’re making it easier for Creators to understand and resolve Copyright claims in YouTube Studio. You’ll now see information about your channel’s copyright strikes directly on your YouTube Studio Dashboard. We’ve also added an explicit Trim option directly on the Video Copyright details page to help you trim out copyrighted content claimed by Content ID and automatically release the claim. Lastly, there is a new filter in the Videos page that lets you see which of your videos have been impacted by Copyright strikes or Content ID claims. Read more in the full post here. Google Employee

New expandable video description box
Video descriptions are super important, so we’ve made improvements to the description box! Now when you enter video description, the box will expand as you type (great for long or multi-line descriptions!).
If you're typing a long description, the box will lengthen to make it easier to see what you've added. You'll see this both on a video's details page and the new upload experience.
