Creators, we’re introducing a new Watch Later video sticker to Stories that allows you to direct your audience to a YouTube video from Stories! This feature was highly requested by many of you and we’re excited to finally roll it out to everyone with Stories access all through the week!
Posting this video sticker is easy – it’s like adding any other sticker to your story except you’ll have the added option to link your own or another channel’s videos. When your audience taps on this sticker, they’ll have the option to add this video to their Watch Later playlist.
While we’re excited for you to share your videos via Stories, we also want to make sure that your audience enjoys them too. We’ve heard from viewers that they like to watch original Stories content that helps them feel connected to you vs. Stories that only link to your own video uploads. For this reason, you’ll be able to use this sticker once a week to share your own videos. However, there is no limit to the amount of video stickers you can use when linking to videos from other channels!
A few tips on how to use the video sticker:
- Keep it personal: We’ve heard from viewers that they prefer meaningful and detailed content that brings them closer to their favorite creators. Try using this new sticker to show fans a side of you they haven’t seen before – like a video you love or a collaboration on another creator’s channel.
- Share some context: If you’re using the sticker to link to your own content, tell your audience why you’re sharing the video along with additional context like a fun backstory, some behind the scenes coverage or a Q&A around the video you’re linking.

@JJ R 5888: We want to minimize interrupting the Stories viewing experience by letting viewers add videos to a Watch Later playlist (as opposed to leaving Stories midway!). If this is something you’d like to see in Stories, definitely let the team know via https://yt.be/help/feedback!
