Audio and video out of sync when watching on Amazon Fire TV

When I watch videos on the YouTube app on my Amazon Fire TV, the audio and video are totally out of sync. The audio is very delayed in comparison to the video. I've checked my sound settings and everything is okay there, I checked to make sure my internet connection was fine and it was, and I tried restarting the YouTube app and even uninstalling and reinstalling it. None of this fixed or improved the issue and it's been going on for weeks now. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Having the same problem. It never used to happen before the YouTube app was released on Fire TV. It comes and goes on my setup. Sometimes it lasts for a few minutes, sometimes less.

There is also a similar issue with Kodi on the Firestick, however, you can fix the delay in Kodi by going into the settings and changing the 'audio' delay time (mine was about 0.2s in front if I remember). Sound then syncs correctly.

Maybe Youtube could add something similar?

Same issue here. It's unwatchable

I have Youtube Premium on a Fire TV 4K + Echo Studio setup and it's unwatchable the audio sync is so far out. I've adjusted the audio sync on the Fire TV so the audio is now in sync for the Fire TV and every other app I use but for some reason the YouTube app seems to ignore the audio sync adjustment the the Fire TV is applying. Surely this must be a quick fix - apparently every other app developer is able to solve it!

So person above is right they’ve missed steps so seems misleading. So on your firestick you go to settings>display&sounds>home Theatre System>Lip Sync Tuning now you are in the right place there is a slider, which you will have to adjust to the right place when a flash is in sync when the dot bounces on the surface, don’t forget to press ok. Then return to home screen and check YouTube, if in sync your good to go, mine took several adjustments to get right, this did not affect other apps that were working fine before anyway

Same issue in Fire TV Cube and Echo Studio
Lip Sync Settings not helping tried ervery Setting

I've just  hooked 2 echo studios and echo sub to a Fire TV cube v2.  Everything works fine and is lip-synced (after adjusting the lip sync settings on the Fire TV cube) ... except the YouTube app (Google Play purchases and normal YouTube videos alike).

Either...
(1) The video starts to play but displays a black screen with only half a second of audio and then stops. The round marker on the progress bar keeps moving back and forth slightly, like it's stuck in a loop.
(2) The video starts but audio is way out - more than a second behind the video.
(3) Same as (1) but pressing play starts the video again and the same audio sync issues occur as in (2).

Same problem here. Fire TV Cube with two paired Echo Studio. Youtube AND Twitch App are out of sync. Prime Video and Netflix is fine... If i adjust the lip sync to Youtube and Twitch delay - Prime Video and Netflix is out of sync... Yeah, thanks for that

Same problem , even Amazon team couldn't resolve it.

This issue is intermittent, incredibly annoying, and not the fire TV, as youtube is the ONLY app experiencing this.

Video starts in sync, then very rapidly the voice and video go out of sync.

Having the same issue. Only on the YouTube app for Amazon fire. Not on any other system.
