An error occurred, please try again later

It's strange that You Tube one of the leading Video has problems for many users with replete error message as below
"You Tube Help! An error occurred, please try again later"
You Tube itself does not have any resolution to the problem and left the same for disucssion board

While other forums discusses that problem probably due to Flash & Java Player, the same has not resolved problems for many . The problems continues to persists forever. This definitely is a problem with you tube than any other Video playing site.

If this error occurs at single videos only then feel free to provide the link and YouTube is going to take a look about the video.

If you experience this error at a lot or all videos then the problem is on your machine. The reason can be advertisement blockers and bad coded Firefox plugins but mostlikely the Adobe Flash Player is broken. Check the following article of the Help Center of the "Video Player Issues" section for further help regarding your Flash Player.

This is because the video servers are very slow right now. If the player doesn't receive a video stream within a certain amount of time, it assumes server performance is temporarily bad and rejects the video download request. This is why it says "please try again later", because slowdowns like these are usually temporary.

Guys guys guys...
I dont know whether or not it makes sense to you but I was facing the same problem when I was accessing youtube videos. It was our company's firewall which had an exclusion list setup for flash based content. Removed the policy and its working absolutely fine. It has got nothing to do with Youtube servers being slow or anything. I would rather suggest you guys check your firewalls, proxyservers to help resolve the issue.

Hope that helps..!!
All the best!!

Same old suggestions...that go nowhere. I did all the flash, adobe, xp, ff browser changes, and upgrades, cleared memory of cookies/cache...but still out in a raft. Is there any other place similar to youtube yet?

I'm having the same issue with one of my videos, it is NOT a firewall or browser issues(this machine is in a DMZ, and I've tried multiple browsers), and it is limited to a small number of videos.

Sometimes, reloading the page will fix that.  Often these errors seem to happen when you have an older version stuck in cache... reloading the page often will do the trick.  If not, clearing cache may help.
