Small Experiment: New Explore Tab on YouTube
[Update 8/28] We're now testing out the Explore tab on more devices and platforms, including Android. This feature is still an experiment so if you see the update, let us know what you think! We consider rolling features out more broadly based on experiment results and feedback.
With more videos coming to YouTube every minute we're always experimenting with ways to make it easier for people to find, watch and share the videos that matter most to them. One thing we’ll be testing on iOS over the new few weeks is a new “Explore” tab, which will help you discover more videos, topics and channels that you might not otherwise see. We also hope Explore will be a space where creators of all sizes, including emerging creators, can have their content discovered.
This is an experimental feature, so only a small group of people using the YouTube app on iPhones will see the Explore tab in the bottom navigation. If you’re part of the test group, you’ll see that all content from Trending now exists in a section of Explore (so Trending isn’t going away!).
If you’re testing out the Explore tab, we’d love to hear what you think! Send us any comments and suggestions directly from the YouTube app using our Feedback tool. Steps: from the top right, tap the profile icon, Help and Feedback, tap Send feedback.

Some community members might have badges that indicate their identity or level of participation in a community.
Member levels indicate a user's level of participation in a forum. The greater the participation, the higher the level. Everyone starts at level 1 and can rise to level 10. These activities can increase your level in a forum:
- Post an answer.
- Having your answer selected as the best answer.
- Having your post rated as helpful.
- Vote up a post.
- Correctly mark a topic or post as abuse.
Having a post marked and removed as abuse will slow a user's advance in levels.
