Get the old homepage back, NOW!!!
I LIKED having my subscriptions and recommended videos limed up NEATLY on my homepage! Why should I be FORCED to scroll through dozens of videos just to find what I'm looking for?! Why in the world would you think that this was a GOOD idea?!
Unless you want to lose THOUSANDS more users, then I'd suggest putting things back to the way they were, and STOP changing things just for the sake of it! Seriously, what monkeys run your design team?!?! It's not EASIER to use, it's 10 times friggin HARDER!
I left YouTube once before, when the channel pages got redesigned, and I'm slowly being driven away again. I don't WANT to leave - I love making videos and sharing them. But, there's only so much crap that a person can take, before they finally have enough of it and just walk. I know at LEAST 11 people (and that's just people that I know personally) that have actually DELETED their accounts because of this constant updating and messing around. Nobody knows if they're coming or going with YouTube anymore. It's gone downhill fast, ever since Google took over.
So, YouTube... Incase that was too much for your wittle brain cells to take in, I'll give it to you in a few short sentences.
- NOBODY likes these new 'features' and 'updates' that you've added.
- Before you add yet MORE unwanted features, take down the ones that you've already added.
- LISTEN to what the users of YouTube want. Afterall, these are the people that have to use the site.
- If you continue on this path, you WILL lose 1000's more users, and YouTube will become yet another failed website, destroyed by it's own 'updates'.
Just like everything else they try to change on the site. Even the load more button, that should be replaced with numbered pages, so users can click once or twice to see the very first videos posted by someone on their channel, instead of having to click load more through 1000 videos.
Some community members might have badges that indicate their identity or level of participation in a community.
Member levels indicate a user's level of participation in a forum. The greater the participation, the higher the level. Everyone starts at level 1 and can rise to level 10. These activities can increase your level in a forum:
- Post an answer.
- Having your answer selected as the best answer.
- Having your post rated as helpful.
- Vote up a post.
- Correctly mark a topic or post as abuse.
Having a post marked and removed as abuse will slow a user's advance in levels.
