What is the difference between Personal and Brand account on YouTube?

I don’t know what is the difference between Personal and Brand account on YouTube?

Is it most Youtuber Create Personal account and post video or Create Personal account with brand name and post video?

I need someone explain.

Then I click Creator Studio or My channel, System told me create a channel.

And I create my channel, but someone said Personal account is for receiving mail, messages,etc..

Please tell me the step between Personal and Brand account on Youtube. Thanks you.

If you are familiar with Facebook then the best way to explain it is that-
  • a "personal" YouTube channel is one which represents you, the person (hence "personal"), like a Facebook profile/account does, and-
  • a YouTube Brand Account is a YouTube product which represents your interests/business or "brand", much like a Facebook page or group does.
The YouTube channel is great if you just want to use YouTube as yourself and don't mind folk knowing your name or you have an online identity with a first and last name which you are happy to use everywhere at Google with that Google Account.  Kind of like me-  I go by the name of Griselda von Uncle and I don't mind people knowing that at YouTube and also at Gmail.  It is also good because everything is kept in ONE account, no switching needed.

The YouTube Brand Account is good if you want to be more private and don't want everyone to know your first and last name, which you want to use elsewhere at Google with that Google Account.  Maybe you have a Gmail email and want to use that with your first and last name?  Then you pick a YouTube Brand Account as that would mean you can keep your first and last name for Gmail but use an online identity with a different name at YouTube.  The draw-back is that you need to switch between you, the person, in your Google Account and you, the user of the YouTube Brand Account at YouTube.  Bit like the confusion which can arise at Facebook too.

So when you sign into a Google Account and go to YouTube you have two options-  you can use YouTube as you, the person, with a first and last name (in your screen-grab there are black blocks in those fields) OR you can opt for a YouTube Brand Account right away by using a DIFFERENT name by opting for the "Use a business or other name." link also shown in your screen-grab as a small blue link at the very end of the text, before the "CANCEL" and "CREATE CHANNEL" buttons.

The purple one, as you can see, is called the "owner account" and has no YouTube channel.  It is your Google Account itself.  Like your Facebook account/profile would be.  Only you see it at YouTube (or anywhere on Google) as it is a background thing which you can add Google products like Gmail, YouTube, Blogger etc etc to.  The orange one is your YouTube channel which is not directly on your Google Account, it being on a YouTube Brand Account.

I don't have the statistics for whether most YouTubers use Google Account profile channels or YouTube Brand Account channels.  It depends on their preferences, as indicated above.

I use both types (I have about 40 in total with about 12 of them being Google Accounts, two without YouTube channel like yours) and each serves its purpose.
