I am A Victom Of Severe Cyberbullying By Youtube Member Who Got My Channel Shut Down
I need to speak to President Chad Hurley, Henrique de Castro or Steve Chen A.S.A.P.
Today my YouTube account has been shut down just because of one cyberbully crazy maniac named BoBosworth56, I myself and over 20 other users I know personally who have been victoms have reported him and you do absolutley NOTHING about it as his account is still up right now and he continues doing his crimes on youtube. I was a youtube partner with over 340 videos all of which have been removed due to this maniac I speak of and youtube does nothing to protect me.
taken by you to put my JustinVerrengia channel back up and if you don't
SHUT this maniac(BoBosworth56) down then I will be forced to contact
the MEDIA -
because he is ruining MY business and I am an active, positive user of
Youtube and the other guy is just a jealous maniac which is quite
evident if you visit his hateful channel.
You leave me forced to beleive you support this guy along with his hatecrime if nothing is done to stop/fix this serious issue. I can and will have this story spread to all media including online major outlets, news reporters, television, radion, etc. if I dont hear back from you with a solution u are working on.
youtube provided me no reason as I been a partner with them for 3 years and did nothing....this bothers me
If justinverrengia's channel has been suspended based on "community guidelines" marks, those marks came from somewhere. Since YouTube doesn't actively go hunting down channels of "community guidelines" infractions, the remaining source of complaints is other users, of which the alleged stalker channel is one. This, as far as I'm concerned, remains a serious flaw in the way Comm. Guidelines are enforced, because it is definitely open to gaming, and gives a certain subspecies of troll an excellent avenue for mischief.
Especially since, as ordinary users, we have no access to or sense of whatever limited safeguards exist to prevent gratuitous flagging from taking down otherwise compliant and decent channel (or those that might skate along the edges, but do so in ways that would be seen as kosher by at least 98% of the community) it's simply a horrible mess. In my time reading complaints, especially from those whose videos have been age restricted rather than removed entirely, so that I could see the item that allegedly "broke the rules" I've seen dozens of instances that suggest the staff reviewers may be blind, devoid of judgment, or merely overworked. Whatever the case, these reviewers do make mistakes.
So telling a fellow channel owner that he "most likely violated community guidelines" is several notches left of useless. Not meaning to be harsh, but it's generally a good idea to give the benefit of the doubt when you don't have access to all the facts. And in these cases, none of us, with the possible exception of staff (who probably want to keep their jobs and not stir pots) are likely to have all the facts.
Some community members might have badges that indicate their identity or level of participation in a community.
Member levels indicate a user's level of participation in a forum. The greater the participation, the higher the level. Everyone starts at level 1 and can rise to level 10. These activities can increase your level in a forum:
- Post an answer.
- Having your answer selected as the best answer.
- Having your post rated as helpful.
- Vote up a post.
- Correctly mark a topic or post as abuse.
Having a post marked and removed as abuse will slow a user's advance in levels.
