Depending on your location, you can buy or rent individual movies on YouTube. Choose from thousands of award-winning movies, timeless classics, and new releases.

If you’re in the United States, Germany, France, Australia, or the United Kingdom, you can also subscribe to certain Primetime Channels, like Showtime or Starz. Subscribing to these channels allows you to watch programs on YouTube without having to switch between different streaming apps and services.

  • You must be 18 years or older to buy or rent.
  • You can buy or rent movies and TV shows on certain devices only. 
  • Availability of individual titles varies by location, and may change over time.
  • You will need an internet connection to watch your rented or purchased content. 
  • After you rent a movie, you have 30 days to start viewing it. Once you've started the movie, you can watch as many times as you like until your rental period ends. Rental periods are usually 48 hours, but the final page of checkout for a rental will note the length of your rental period.
  • For some videos, different prices for different resolutions may also be available. Playback of HD and UHD titles are only available on certain supported devices and internet speed. See HD/UHD device requirements for more information.
