'Limited or no ads' explained

You'll only see the 'limited or no ads' icons ( or ) if you're a part of the YouTube Partner Programme.

This icon means that you've turned on monetisation for a video, but our automated systems or policy specialists believe that the video does not meet our advertiser-friendly content guidelines. You may earn less revenue on this content (because fewer ads are likely to appear) compared to content that's suitable for all advertisers.

In some cases, you may be able to appeal this decision. If you're not sure, check your content against our ad-friendly examples article. If you still think that it shouldn't fall into the 'limited or no ads' status, you can request a human review.
