The Miniplayer allows you to continue watching videos while you browse YouTube. The player supports Playlists, Livestreams, and any other videos.
Launch the Miniplayer
If you’re using the YouTube app, the Miniplayer will automatically pop up at the bottom of the screen if you click the back button, or if you swipe down while watching a video.
Note: If the content you’re watching in the app is set as made for kids, the Miniplayer will be paused.
Watch in the Miniplayer
The video will continue to play in the Miniplayer as you navigate around the site. You can pause the video using controls on the Miniplayer.
If you click another video’s thumbnail with the Miniplayer up while browsing on Home, you’ll be taken to that video.
Exit the Miniplayer
Dismiss the Miniplayer by clicking the “X” button at the top-right of the player.
