Frequently asked questions

Can I have both a beta version of the app and a regular version?

No, you can have only one version of the YouTube app installed on your Android device.

Will I lose any data if I switch to the beta version?

Switching to the beta version is the same as a typical update, so you won't lose any data or settings.

Is space limited in YouTube's beta programme?

Yes, YouTube limits the number of users in the beta programme. If there's no more space, you'll notice a message saying that it's full. If current testers leave, more space  may open later.
