Change language or location settings

You can select your preferred language and location on YouTube using your computer, the YouTube app or your mobile browser.

Language settings change video metadata, like channel name and video title, when available and voice search language. The location that you choose impacts the videos that surface for:

  • Recommendations
  • Trending
  • News

YouTube provides language and content preferences for all countries, regions and languages that YouTube is available in. We're constantly expanding the ability for the product to reach more users.
