Tagging your location on your videos, Shorts, and live streams lets viewers find your content by that location. They can also view other content that was tagged in the same area.
You can view tagged locations on the watch page for your content. Viewers will view the tag on any of your public, unlisted, or private videos. Viewers can click location to search for public videos from the same location.

Tag your content in YouTube Studio
- Open YouTube Studio.
- From the left Menu, select Content.
- At the top, choose Videos, Shorts, or Live.
- Click the title or thumbnail.
- At the bottom of the Video details page, click Show more.
- Go to “Recording date and location.”
- Under "Video location," search for a location to tag.
- Select the location and click Save in the top right.
