I don’t want notifications

Are you having any of these common issues?

• I'm getting notifications from channels and recommendations I'm not subscribed to.
• I don't want to get notifications from my subscribed channels.
• I used to not get notifications and now I do.
• I don't want push notifications but they show up on the YouTube app or my computer.
• I don't want any notifications, period.
• I don't want notifications from my Chrome browser (computer only).
• I don't want email notifications (computer only).

For help, check the settings below.

Check the account you're signed in to

1. Go to your profile picture .
2. You'll see which account you're signed in to. You should be signed in to the account with the notifications you want to change.
   • If it’s a different account, tap Switch account and choose the correct one.
   • If the account isn’t listed, tap Add Account  at the top right.

Check your app notification settings

1. Go to your profile picture .
2. Tap Settings .
3. Tap Notifications.
4. Tap the sliders to turn off notification options.

Check your channel settings

1. Go to your profile picture .
2. Tap Settings .
3. Tap Notifications.
4. Tap Channel settings.
5. At the right of each channel, tap .
6. Tap None .
7. Tap Done.

Check that the bell is off, but remember that you may still get occasional highlights. If you don't want highlights either:

1. Go to your profile picture .
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap Notifications.
4. Tap Subscriptions to turn off.

Check your device settings

1. Open the Android Settings app .
2. Tap Apps & Notifications.
3. Tap See all apps.
4. Scroll down and tap YouTube .
5. Tap Notifications.
6. To turn off notifications, tap Show notifications. The Show notifications banner will turn gray.
