If you've translated your videos into other languages by adding translated titles, descriptions and subtitles, you can use the Translations report to analyze the performance of localized content.
The Translations report can give you insight into how successfully you’re increasing the reach and discoverability of your content by making your content available for other language audiences. It shows you whether this audience is watching the original language or a translated version of your videos, as well as what those languages are.
See your Translations report
You can go directly to the Translations report or follow the steps below.
- Log in to YouTube.
- In the top right, select your account > Creator Studio.
- In the left menu, click Analytics > Translations.
How to use the Translations report
By default, the report shows you the performance of translated content compared to original language content. This allows you to see:
- The portion of views and watch time that's consumed by viewers who might not understand the video's original language
- Growth over time as you translate more of your videos
You can also segment your traffic by video info language (language of your titles and descriptions) or subtitles and CC language.
- Watches a video that shows with translated title or description on the watch page, or
- Watches a video with subtitles in a language other than the original audio language
