YouTube has designed a programme to recognise and support the global community of volunteer contributors.

These passionate volunteers help to create the best possible YouTube experience for everyone by:

Answering thousands of questions in our help forum (available in English, French, German, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish)
Making YouTube content more accessible and global by subtitling and adding captions to videos
Reporting videos that may violate YouTube's Community guidelines*

*Please note that flagged videos do not automatically get removed. We have trained teams, fluent in multiple languages, who carefully evaluate your flags 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year in time zones around the world.

By joining the YouTube Contributors Programme, you can help us make YouTube a better platform to share and watch videos every day. You can also gain access to exclusive workshops, the YouTube team and sneak preview product launches.

To become a YouTube Contributor and participate in this Programme, you must agree to and comply with the YouTube Contributors Programme Rules. Please note that this Programme is currently in its beta phase and subject to change. We look forward to refining the programme as it continues.
