Changes to reporting after transferring channel ownership

These features are only available to partners who use YouTube Studio Content Manager.

If you move a channel from one content owner to another, it changes whether you can see data in YouTube Analytics and the Downloadable performance report. Before moving a channel from one content owner to another, make sure to review what metrics you'll have access to.

Note that the following data is not available to channels that have an MCN, except where noted as available to MCN affiliate channels. MCN Owned & Operated (O&O) channels do not currently have access to this data. Learn more about the two different types of channels MCNs can have under their YouTube network.

Before you transfer the channel: If you'll need historical performance data, make sure to download any reports you need before transferring the channel to a new content owner.

Tip: To see full data for the month a channel is transferred, combine performance reports from the old and new content owners for that month.

Note: To get a full view of a moved channel's data for the month it was transferred, you can combine the old content owner's performance report with the new content owner's performance report.
