YouTube Certified program overview

The YouTube Certified program is dedicated to educating our top enterprise partners, brands, agencies, and professional creators — over 10,000 YouTube partners are certified.

Our goal is to provide the latest best practices and industry-level knowledge to help individuals and companies succeed on the platform.

Requirements and benefits

YouTube Certification can help you learn the ins and outs of channel creation, growth, optimization, and monetization. The program offers individual and company certification that is valid for 18 months from the date you pass your certification or are accepted as a YouTube Certified company.

Individual certification

Individuals must score 75% or higher on the exam. Every individual who passes a certification course will receive an individual certification.

Benefits of being a YouTube Certified individual include:

  • Demonstrated job skill and recognition of a high-value industry-standard credential
  • Access to the YouTube Certified badge and the YouTube Certified LinkedIn badge

Note: Certification requires ongoing compliance with all YouTube policies, including but not limited to the YouTube Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. Individuals who do not adhere to the guidelines outlined in the Terms of Service are subject to review and may have their YouTube Certified status revoked.

Company certification

To be company certified, 75% of your YouTube-focused employees must pass any one of the three certifications (Content Ownership, Asset Monetization, and Channel Growth)

Benefits of being a YouTube Certified company include:

  • Recognition as a YouTube Certified company
  • Ability to use the YouTube Certified badge on websites and marketing materials
  • Eligibility to be included in the Creator Services Directory
