Watch videos at high frame rate (FPS) on YouTube

How to watch at high frame rate

To get high frame rate playback, watch a YouTube video at a quality of 720p or 1080p.

In the quality menu, high frame rate will be listed next to the resolution.  For example, a 1080p resolution video at 120 frames per second (FPS) will be listed as 1080p60.

Note: Uploading and watching videos at 120 FPS is not supported at this time.

Force lower frame rate playback

To watch a video at a lower frame rate, switch the quality to 480p or lower.
