Troubleshoot account sign-in issues
If you can't sign in to YouTube on your Android TV, you may be using a Brand Account. Brand Accounts are not compatible with the newest version of YouTube on Android TV. You'll need to use a different Google Account to sign up and sign in to YouTube on Android TV.

How to identify if you have a Brand Account

  • A Brand Account can be used with Google services, like YouTube, to create an online brand presence. If you have more than one YouTube channel or previously had a legacy account, you could have a Brand Account.
  • If you're not sure if you have a Brand Account, visit the Brand Accounts page. Any existing Brand Accounts will be listed under "Your Brand Accounts."
