Customise the Creator Dashboard

Your dashboard can be customised from your computer to give you a personalised view of what's relevant and interesting to you. You can select which widgets show on the page and, when available, customise what shows up in each widget.

Note: You cannot customise the Dashboard in YouTube Studio. You can dismiss some types of content that are not interesting to you. We may remove some Dashboard content once you've seen it.

Move or remove a widget

To move a widget, hover over it to click and hold the grid of squares. Drag the widget to where you'd like it on the page. Other widgets will move automatically to adjust to your new placement.

To remove a widget, hover over it and select Settings  and then Remove. You may see an 'X' in the upper right-hand corner instead. Select the 'X' to remove the widget.

Customise your widget

To customise the content of a widget, click Settings  to open the widget menu.

Only Comments and Videos widgets are customisable. The Comments widget can be set to display different numbers of comments. The Videos widget can be customised for quantity, title and more.

  • Title: In the field at the top, enter your preferred title. In the above example, we've replaced 'Videos' with 'Public videos'.

  • Number of items: Choose how many videos you want the widget to contain – it can display a maximum of 20 videos.

  • Video filters: To specify what content you want in this widget, use the video filters. The default filters allow you to filter by privacy. Select the 'custom' filter and use the advanced search parameters to customise by video metadata such as title, description, upload date and length.

In this example, we've created a custom widget for videos with the word 'webcam' in the title. To create a custom widget, enter 'title:webcam' into the custom filter field. We also set the number of videos shown to only be 3.
