Rentals, purchases & paid subscriptions on Roku

Paid channels will be going away on January 1, 2018. You'll no longer be charged for any existing subscriptions starting December 1, 2017. Learn more about discontinuing paid content

Rentals, purchases, and paid subscriptions are available on Roku devices introduced after July 2011:

  • Roku LT
  • Roku 1
  • Roku 2
  • Roku 2 HD
  • Roku 2 XD
  • Roku 2XS
  • Roku 3
  • Roku Streaming Stick (both HDMI and RokuReady versions)
  • Roku TV

Movies and TV shows

Movies and shows purchased on YouTube can be viewed by signing into the YouTube app, and navigating to Purchases. Please ensure that you have the latest version of the YouTube app installed on your device.

If you do not see Purchases in the navigation, please log out and log back into the YouTube app.

Live events

Purchased live events can be viewed by adding them to a playlist such as Watch Later on a computer or mobile device and then navigating to Watch Later on your Roku.

Paid channels

Watch videos from any paid channels that you've subscribed to by signing into the YouTube app and navigating to My Subscriptions. Please ensure that you have the latest version of the YouTube app installed on your device.

Sign into youtube.com on your TV's Internet browser or on your computer for other actions, such as purchasing and subscribing to a paid channel or canceling an existing subscription payment.
