DDEX reference resources

These features are only available to partners using YouTube's Content Manager to manage their copyrighted content.

The message samples demonstrate how to communicate new releases and takedowns for streaming with ads, YouTube Premium and Content ID. All samples are based on DDEX ERN version 3.8.

In accordance with the DDEX convention, the filename of the DDEX file needs to include the unique Release ID for the album. The Release ID is the UPC, EAN, GRid, or ISRC provided by the <ReleaseId> element.

The below table indicates when the respective <ProprietaryId> elements should be communicated.

Status reports for DDEX deliveries

Starting 2018, YouTube will transition to using the DDEX standard FtpAcknowledgementMessage for all DDEX status reports. See the ERN Choreography Standard documentation for more information on this message.
