Rentals, purchases & paid subscriptions on Chromecast

Chromecast is an easy way to watch YouTube rentals, purchases, and paid subscriptions on your TV.

Movies and TV shows

  1. Open the YouTube app. 
  2. Tap the video you'd like to watch.
  3. To send it to your TV, tap Cast

Live events

  1. To access your live events, sign into the YouTube app.
  2. Swipe to reveal the menu.
  3. Tap your account name.
  4. Select Purchases.
  5. Open the video you'd like to watch. 
  6. To send it to your TV, go to the top right-hand corner and tap Cast .
Live events purchased through YouTube are available for viewing on the YouTube app on your iOS device. Please make sure you have the latest version of the YouTube app installed. 
Paid channels

Follow these steps to Cast videos from a YouTube paid channel to your TV:

  1. Find a video you'd like to watch and press the Cast button. On the YouTube app, the Cast button will be in the top right-hand corner. From youtube.com on your computer, it's in the bottom right of the player.
  2. Select your Chromecast from the dropdown menu and wait for the video to start playing on your TV.
