How to Sign Into YouTube on Your TV
Check device requirements
The YouTube app is available on a wide range of devices, but there are some minimum system requirements and device-specific limitations:
- Android: Requires Android 8.0 or later.
- Smart TVs and streaming devices: Availability varies by manufacturer and model. Most smart TVs released after 2013 support the latest YouTube app.
- Game consoles: The YouTube app is available on many game consoles, including consoles made by Nintendo, PlayStation, and Xbox.
Note: Older devices, such as 3rd generation and earlier Apple TVs, may no longer have a supported YouTube app. If you’re using a 3rd generation or older Apple TV, you can use AirPlay on the device to stream YouTube.
