Rentals, purchases & paid subscriptions on mobile devices

Learn about rentals, purchases, and paid subscriptions on mobile devices. 

You can watch YouTube rentals, purchases, and paid subscriptions on the YouTube app for iOS, from your iPhone, iPad, and iPod. 

Movies and TV shows

Movies and shows purchased through YouTube are available for viewing on the latest version of the YouTube app on your iOS device. Purchases can be found by opening the YouTube app, tapping the Library tab , and navigating to the Purchases section.

If you don't see this, make sure you're using the most recent version of the YouTube app.

To search for and purchase new movies and shows to watch, please sign into on your computer or request the desktop version on your iOS device's browser.

Live events

You can watch live events on your iOS device by opening the YouTube app and navigating to the channel where the live event was purchased. During a live event, you'll see the current event featured in the Live now section.

Paid channels

You can watch videos from any paid channels that you've subscribed to by signing into the YouTube app, tapping the Subscriptions tab, and tapping the desired channel icon. If you don't see the desired channel icon, tap the arrow to show all your subscribed Channels. Please ensure that you have the latest version of the YouTube app installed on your device.
Sign into on your computer or on your TV's internet browser for other actions, such as purchasing and subscribing to a paid channel or canceling an existing subscription payment.
